Battery cooling refers to the cooling technology of the power battery, a key component of electric vehicles. For electric vehicles, the working state of the power battery will directly affect the vehicle's power performance, economy, safety, service life, etc. Therefore, accurate control of the working state of the power battery is an important means to ensure the stability of the vehicle.
The cooling methods of power batteries are currently mainly divided into two categories: air cooling and liquid cooling. Air cooling is divided into natural convection, natural wind forced convection and air conditioning cold wind forced convection. Liquid cooling can be divided into coolant cooling and refrigerant cooling.
Air cooling technology has the advantages of light weight, low cost, simple structure, easy maintenance, and no leakage risk. Liquid cooling technology has more advantages in temperature control between battery cells and the efficiency of heating and cooling, but the more complex system structure also brings higher production costs and higher requirements for manufacturing processes.
