Leading Manufacturer of Oil Cooler

2023-10-12

The oil cooler is a device that accelerates the heat dissipation of lubricating oil and keeps it at a lower temperature. On high-performance, high-power reinforced engines, due to the large thermal load, an oil cooler must be installed. The oil cooler is arranged in the lubricating oil circuit and its working principle is the same as that of the radiator. When engine output rises beyond a certain threshold per liter of displacement, an oil cooler becomes more important, critical even. There is a lot to the selection and installation of an oil cooler.

MJST is the China’s leading manufacturer of hydraulic oil coolers, providing efficient cooling solutions for a variety of hydraulic systems including: gearboxes, power packs, cranes and hoisting equipment, hydraulic presses, plastic injection molding machines, automotive engine and transmission testing, processing Machinery and marine thrusters, stabilizers and winch systems.

Since engine oil has thermal conductivity and continuously flows and circulates in the engine, the oil cooler plays a cooling role in the engine crankcase, clutch, valve components, etc. Even if it is a water-cooled engine, the only parts that can be cooled by water are the cylinder head and cylinder wall, and other parts still need to be cooled by the oil cooler.

The main body materials of the product include aluminum, copper, stainless steel, castings and other metal materials. After welding or assembly, the hot side channel and the cold side channel are connected to form a complete heat exchanger.

At the beginning, the engine oil temperature rises relatively quickly. There is a time lag between the oil heat transfer to the engine casing. During this time lag, the oil cooler has already taken effect. At this time, when you touch the engine casing with your hand, you will feel a very warm feeling, which you feel is good. The effect is that after the engine has been running for a long time, the vehicle speed has increased and the oil cooler has reached its optimal working condition. At this time, the temperature of the engine casing has risen to a relatively high level. If you quickly touch the engine casing, you will find that it is very hot, but not that hot to the touch. At the same time, the temperature of the oil cooler is also very high. This situation shows that the thermal process has balanced the speed of the motorcycle. The air cooling and thermal conduction processes have balanced and will not increase the temperature. At this time, the temperature is divided into two parts: 1. Oil Temperature 2. The temperature of the engine casing. The former is higher than the latter. If there is no oil cooler and no oil cooling is installed, in the same process as above, you will find that the temperature of the engine rises very quickly at first. In a short time, the temperature of the engine casing is almost You can’t touch the temperature of the engine casing after driving for a long time. You don’t dare to touch it with your hands, even for a short time. The usual judgment method we use is to sprinkle some water on the engine casing. If you hear a squeaking sound, it means that the temperature of the engine casing has exceeded It's 120 degrees

Function: Mainly used for cooling engine lubricating oil or fuel in vehicles, engineering machinery, ships, etc. The hot side of the product is lubricating oil or fuel, and the cold side can be cooling water or air. When the vehicle is driving, the lubricating oil in each major lubrication system relies on the power of the oil pump to pass through the hot side channel of the oil cooler and transfer heat to the cold side of the oil cooler, while cooling water or cold air passes through the cold side channel of the oil cooler. The heat is taken away to achieve heat exchange between hot and cold fluids to ensure that the lubricating oil is at the most appropriate working temperature. Including cooling of engine lubricating oil, automatic transmission lubricating oil, power steering lubricating oil, etc.

Manufacturer of oil coolers for cooling marine engine or transmission oil. Oil coolers are constructed of copper shells with copper end fittings brazed in place & either copper or Cu-Ni internal tubes. Oil coolers are supplied with a drain connection & grounding lug with optional zinc anode & mounting brackets for virtually any mounting configuratio

Engine oil coolers are generally broken into two types: oil-to-water and oil-to-air. An oil-to-water cooler passes the engine oil through a heat exchanger element of some sort that enables the engine's coolant to either add heat to cold oil or to pull heat from excessively hot oil.

1) Air-cooled oil cooler

Air oil coolers can be used in several ways ranging from automobile to agriculture and industrial. Depending on the equipment used, air oil coolers can always be considered a great option to regulate the temperature of the equipment being used.

The core of the air-cooled oil cooler is composed of many cooling tubes and cooling plates. When the car is driving, the hot oil cooler core is cooled by the wind facing the car. The air-cooled oil cooler requires good ventilation around it. It is difficult to ensure sufficient ventilation space in ordinary cars, so it is rarely used. This type of cooler is mostly used in racing cars because the racing speed is high and the cooling air volume is large.

2) Water-cooled oil cooler

The oil cooler is placed in the cooling water circuit and uses the temperature of the cooling water to control the temperature of the lubricating oil. When the temperature of the lubricating oil is high, it is cooled by the cooling water. When the engine is started, heat is absorbed from the cooling water to quickly increase the temperature of the lubricating oil. The oil cooler is composed of an aluminum alloy cast housing, a front cover, a rear cover and a copper core tube. In order to enhance cooling, heat sinks are installed outside the tube. Cooling water flows outside the tube, lubricating oil flows inside the tube, and the two exchange heat. There are also structures that allow oil to flow outside the tube and water to flow inside the tube.

Oil cooler classification:

Engine oil cooler: Cools the lubricating oil of the engine and keeps the oil at a reasonable temperature (90-120 degrees) and viscosity. It is installed in the cylinder block of the engine and is installed integrally with the casing during installation.

Transmission oil cooler: cools the lubricating oil of the transmission. It is installed in the drain chamber of the engine radiator or outside the transmission case. If it is air-cooled, it is installed on the front side of the radiator.

Retarder oil cooler: cools the lubricating oil when the retarder is working. It is installed outside the gearbox. Most of them are shell-and-tube or water-oil composite products.

Exhaust gas recirculation cooler: It is a device used to cool some of the exhaust gas that is returned to the engine cylinder. The purpose is to reduce the content of nitrogen oxides in the automobile exhaust.

Radiation cooler module: It is a device that can cool multiple objects or some objects such as cooling water, lubricating oil, compressed air, etc. at the same time. The cooling module adopts a highly integrated design idea and has full functions, small size, intelligence and high efficiency. Features.

Air cooler: Also called intercooler, it is a device used to cool the high-temperature and high-pressure air after the engine is supercharged. Through the cooling of the intercooler, the temperature of the supercharged air can be reduced, thereby increasing the density of the air, so as to achieve the purpose of engine power, reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Oil-water cooler is a type of oil cooling equipment commonly used in power systems. It is also suitable for metallurgy, chemical industry, mining, light industry, heavy industry and other departments. The cooler can realize heat exchange between two liquid media with a certain temperature difference, thereby reducing the oil temperature and ensuring the normal operation of power equipment. It is mainly used for equipment lubricating oil cooling, transmission system oil cooling, transformer oil cooling, etc. Oil-water coolers are divided into vertical and horizontal types according to the installation form; they are divided into plain tube type and enhanced heat transfer tube type according to the cooling tube type.

Oil cooler is also called oil cooler. According to the principle of refrigeration system, the low-temperature and low-pressure liquid refrigerant exchanges heat with the surrounding water in the evaporator. The evaporator absorbs the heat of the oil and evaporates into a low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous state. The temperature of the refrigerant does not change during the evaporation process. , the low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant enters the compressor, is compressed by the compressor, and is compressed into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state, and then enters the condenser, where it exchanges heat with the indoor medium. Part of the heat of the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state is The medium absorbs, the medium temperature rises, and the refrigerant releases heat in the condenser and becomes a high-temperature and high-pressure liquid. The temperature of the condenser process remains unchanged, and then enters the expansion valve for throttling. Throttling is a rapid cooling process, and the refrigerant becomes a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid. After this process, the refrigerant then enters the evaporator for heat exchange and evaporation, thereby realizing the entire process of the refrigeration system. This cycle is carried out continuously, so that the oil can be continuously refrigerated.

Our Oil Coolers use high performance cooling cores; so there is the possibility of overcooling which is prevented by the use of a thermostat (some vehicles excluded). This thermostat has high response and able to react quickly to change of oil temperature. Once oil temperature reaches the set level, the oil will flow through the cooler core but bypasses when temperatures drop lower. This allows engine oil to be maintained at the ideal temperature.

Just as a vehicle's radiator cools the engine, an engine oil cooler keeps your vehicle's engine oil at the proper operating temperature. This can extend the life of your engine's moving parts and minimize the potential for costly engine repairs.
